TANK HEATING AND INSULATION

CRT can provide and install insulation on your existing storage tank on your jobsite or, if you're buying a new tank from us, we can insulate it prior to shipment. We can install a heat panel system to the outside walls of the tank prior to applying a spray-on polyurethane system to your tank, no matter where you are located in the U.S.

Tank Insulation “Jackets”

CRT can offer an alternative to the high cost of spray-on insulation and heating systems.

When you need to heat and, or insulate a tank to keep the contents from freezing, one of the most economical ways up until recntly has been to insert a heating element and spray- on polyurethane insulation. There’s no question that the appearance and the R Factor of this type of a system can make it an attractive choice…if you can afford it! This type of spray-up insulation should always be done on site to avoid damage during shipping. By the time travel and overnight expenses are added in, it can easily cost well over $1.00 per gallon to heat and insulate a tank. And down the road, when you want to repair or modify your tank, you have to cut off the insulation to do so.

CRT now offers an economical alternative. Now you can heat and insulate most tank sizes for under $.40 per gallon. And when you need to work on your tank, you can simply remove the Heat Blanket and replace it when you’re done. For example, to heat and insulate a 10,000 gallon vertical tank to a rating of 50 Deg. Delta “T”, the heat blanket system costs about $ 4500 Delivered. It takes three men about two to three hours to install the system.

This unique system consists of Astrofoil (see www.astrofoilint.com ) insulation faced on the outside with a tough FR reinforced vinyl for easy and precise custom fabrications. This weatherproof system is lightweight and compact which minimizes shipping costs. When the insulation system requires an additional heat source to maintain a specifictemperature inside your tank, we include internal “pockets” which we sew on to the inside of the blanket to accommodate the Flexwatt Heat Panels. These panels are 110V electrically powered and regulated by use of a thermostat. An external digital display box is set by you, on site, to control the desired temperature inside the tank.

Call CRT today and see how little it costs to keep your tank warm at night!
